Account and data deletion

This page explains how a user of the WorkSpace by PROlab app can delete their account and the data linked to it — either on their own or by request.

About the app and the developer

App: WorkSpace by PROlab — a workspace for teams (Android and iOS mobile clients, web at app.prolabworkspace.com).

Step 1 — delete your account inside the app

The fastest way is to delete the account right from the app:

  • Sign in to WorkSpace on your phone or in a browser (app.prolabworkspace.com).
  • Open Profile → Account → Delete account.
  • Confirm the deletion by entering your password.
  • The account is deactivated immediately; full data removal happens within the timeline below.

If you are the sole owner of a workspace (Space), you first need to either hand ownership over to another member or delete the workspace from Admin → Delete workspace. Otherwise the app will ask you to do that before deleting the account.

Step 2 (alternative) — request deletion by email

If for any reason you cannot delete the account from the app, send a request to [email protected].

What to include: - Subject: «Account deletion request». - The email address your WorkSpace account is registered to. - The name/phone linked to the account (if you remember). - A confirmation that you are the account owner.

We reply from the same email to verify identity and complete deletion within 30 calendar days of confirmation. You will get a notification at the same email when it is done.

What data is deleted

After your account is deleted the following is permanently removed: - Profile: first name, last name, email, phone, avatar, role, timezone. - Personal user content: personal messages, personal tasks, notes, files uploaded to your personal space. - Technical device IDs, push tokens, active sessions. - Sign-in and activity logs tied to the account. - OAuth links (Google and others), if you connected them.

If you were the sole owner of a workspace (Space), the entire workspace and its data — deals, chats, tasks, projects, files — are also deleted.

What is kept and why

Some data we are required to keep:

  • Financial and tax records (invoices, statements, subscription receipts) — for 4–5 years, as required by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic and your payment jurisdiction.
  • Security logs (anonymised records of critical actions performed by your account, without personal data) — up to 12 months, for incident investigation.
  • Database backups — up to 30 days; once the backups rotate, your data disappears from them too.

If you were a member of someone else's workspace (Space) and not its owner, content you created inside that workspace (messages, tasks, deals) stays in the workspace, because it belongs to its owner. Your name and email in those records are replaced with «Former member».

Deletion timeline

  • Account deactivation — immediate after confirmation.
  • Removal of personal content and profile from the live database — within 7 calendar days.
  • Removal from all backups — within 30 calendar days.
  • Financial and tax records — retained for the period required by law (usually 4–5 years).

After you confirm deletion, you will get an email with the status, and a second email when every step is complete.

What happens to subscriptions and integrations

  • Active subscriptions to paid modules (AI, WhatsApp, etc.) are cancelled automatically. A refund for the unused portion of the paid period is available on request within 14 days.
  • OAuth connections (Google Calendar, etc.) are revoked on our side; on Google's side you can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com.
  • Tokens for connected bots (Telegram, WhatsApp via Green API) are deactivated; the accounts in those services belong to you and are deleted by you separately.
  • Push notifications to your mobile devices stop.

Cannot delete the account?

Write to [email protected] with the subject «Account deletion request» — we will delete the account manually and send a confirmation. Reply within 3 business days.
